The K-7 recently won 'Best Advanced Digital SLR Camera' in the Gear of the Year Awards. Voted for by readers of best-selling magazines Digital Photo and Practical Photography, this award confirms the K-7 is a camera worth consideration by the serious enthusiast.

To quote the magazines "The K-7 is a stunning SLR that delivers no less than a whopping 77 weather seals and a 14Mp sensor. It's the high-spec camera that loyal fans of that well-established camera company have been waiting for".

Well, this has to be the first award that K-7 won, and it's been quite some time that Pentax won an award after K10D swiped most of the awards in 2007.

not talking about TIPA 2009. Iirc, K-7 wasn't even launched when the voting was held for TIPA 2009.
maybe K-7 will win 2K10.

TIPA was held in early April But D90 is indeed an excellent camera. Now our K-x is using the same sensor as D90, let's hope it'd have similar image quality
