This is my first DSLR and I choose Pentax! :bsmilie: As I have been reading up, I roughly know what settings to use, but nothing beats practical experience with the camera. I started to know more about my camera, what it can and cannot do.
I ended the day with mild backache from having the camera on my neck for over 4 hours. Oh well, think I need to get a sling bag for my DSLR instead of hanging it on my neck all the time, haha.

Try to cross sling your camera instead.
I never have neck strain issues even if its a 80-200.
Moire? What moire.. those guy probably suffering from moire overdose ... everything they see also got moire.. siao....
Love this shot, Ultra wide and the Sun setting merged with the clouds !
P/S- Was this taken at 12mm or wider at 8mm ? I could see the curve a little on the foreground left building.

Taken Pentax k5iis with sigma 8-16
Hi guys, guess I'm more of a lurker here. Anyway I recently bit the bullet and upgraded from my kx to k5ii. Gonna miss the Kx and its quirks.
Anyway, here's some sample first day photos from the K5ii, since it was quite dark after getting home from TK Foto
1/125s | ISO 800 | f5.6
DA35 F2.4 @ 1840
1/50s | ISO 1600 | f2.8
DA 35 F2.4 @ 1903
1/60s | ISO 6400 | f4.0
DA 35 F2.4 @ 1911 (really dark no streetlight nearby, AF was decisive)
No flickr, so anyhow upload to picasa. First impression of the K5ii is ZOMG the AF points finally light up I can finally see where I'm shooting. Back when I used the Kx I had to put my hand over the lens note the lines, realigned my shot and guestimate my AF point.Viewfinder is HUGE, had to reorientate with my lenses, the RAW in K5ii can retrieve much more detail. And of course the AF in low light (vs my kx) is miles ahead, extremely good high iso performance, great build quality and handling overall.

Really amazed by ur short review of k5-ii .. Have a k-x myself.. Keen to upgrade but have to save money for house first .. Haha damn...

This could be a difficult shot for my Kr as far as DR is concerned...
