Though can I ask in situations like this, are you using the rule of thirds? Or would you think it is better if the 'sampan' is placed right in the middle? But that would mean more of the water and less of the sky? Just wish to know your oppinion.

Thanks for your kind comments glad you liked the photo

Not too sure but I guess this is not strictly rule of thirds, although the subject (sampan) does lie on a "third" line it doesn't lie on an intersection point.

My personal preference for this scene is abit more of the sky and less of the water, roughly 2/3 to 1/3 I guess, at that time, was not really thinking of any composition rules actually :sweat: Just felt that the overall scene appears more pleasant to the eye this way.

Just my humble 2 cents, could very well be wrong :sweat:

But there's no harm in experimenting and trying different shots of a same location, a few could turn up as pleasant surprises !
