Hi to all. I just found this forum while searching the web for photography info.

I'm very new to DSLR photography. I started about 5 months ago with a Panasonic FZ18 Lumix (not a DSLR I know) but I just wasn't getting the type of pictures I wanted so I decided to move up to a Canon 450D. This turned out to be faulty (focus problems) so I swapped it for a Nikon D80. I had the D80 for about three months and last week I upgraded to the D300.

My plan was to have a go a photographing aircraft + wildlife including birds. At the momment I have a Sigma 150mm-500mm, a Nikon 18-200mm VR, a Nikon AF 70-300mm and the old kit lens from the D80 an 18-135mm. When I bought the D300 I also treated myself to the SB600 flash gun. Oh I also got a divorce for wasting money on camera stuff:bsmilie:

Looking forward to reading and learning from all you experts hanging around here:)

Ps - why can't I post attachments? Am I to new:bsmilie:

:bsmilie::bsmilie:mad: the rich guy replies. Wish I was, then i'd have a D3:bsmilie:

The Panasonic was sold to help finance the Canon 450D. The Canon was faulty so the shop let me swap it for the Nikon D80. I then sold the D80 on E-Bay for £400 which brought me halfway to the price of the D300. I don't still have all those cameras, only got the D300 now.

I have spent a little on lenes though.

Anyway, i'd love to post some pics but in the bottom left corner of my page it says "you may not post attachments"

Do I need to use a hosting site and then post the link??

Mr Rich Guy! :D
yeah, have to use a hosting site (photobucket, imageshack) or you can also upload pictures to places like Flikr and link it directly here. ;)
