hi friends,
would appreciate it if you guys could give me comments on the following photos.

monastery by Guo.Xiang, on Flickr

1. in what area is critique to be sought?
the post processing of the photo. its five shots fused in ps and edited in lr
whether or not the pp has been overdone
any improvements for composition wise

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
learning pp in HDR and remaking the actual scene in this picture

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
walkabout in the area

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
my best try to remake what i saw on scene

hi I'm still trying to grasp how to get a photorealistic HDR so can only offer my 2 cents hee....

the sky looks overdone, not too natural looking ;p
maybe can tweak the contrast in the temple a bit more since it's HDR, now seems a bit flat from the flare
probably can make the colours more vibrant too ;)

thanks for sharing! :)

watch the overblown sky in the background, a good HDR will have the sky and clouds correctly exposed. try also to avoid the distracting elements such as the HDB flats in the bg, and correct the building's verticals if possible. try shooting from other angles too and select the best one. colours can be made more vibrant by adjusting contrast and saturation.
