As mentioned in my previous thread, this is the first time I have seen this jumping spider. Interesting fella. Huge arms, and spread wide when agitated. And can really jump....saw it do a 40cm leap! Will post a few posture here.

FZ10+Raynox 250, F8, 1/60s, ISO50, 2 diffused flash, handheld

i like #8 too!

great job!

hey maybe you should try to check what species this little critter is - who knows it may well be a species that's undiscovered!

then we can name it "tchuanyaniod"! :)

Ha ha...that would be interesting!

But I am quite sure it has an ID.

Well spotted and nice series.
Me also never seen this species before.

Cheers..

Thanks! Am quite pleased with #9....a full frame shot...uncropped...which is very rare for me...as most of my shots are cropped for better composition.

  Like #9 the most. ;)

Thanks for sharing

  I like #4 ! Respect~

#8 UGLY but CUTE (I meant the spider...the pic is just great)

quite amazing shots

with a raynox 250 how close were u with the jumper ?
quite interesting that the jumper didn't jump considering they are always so hyper and *jumpy*
i still remember those days in pri sch when stalking to catch these jumpers were already hell of a task!

Raynox has a 10cm working distance. And yes they do jump....this fella jumped twice onto my camera!

quite a newbie in doin macro just wanna see how u guys manage to shoot so close and well!
what magnification is ur setup equivalent to at a 10cm distance ?
i understand ur pics are minimally cropped. usually by how much ?

:D thx once again

Not so sure on the technicalities of the mag rates. If I recall, at full zoom, I can take 1 cm at 10cm working distance?

er...pics wise, not sure how much I crop, but I do crop somewhat. I just crop to better composition.
