Hi,

just wondering u guys will choose which type when taking pictures?

JPEG
RAW
JPEG+
RAW+
or Both?

READ and you'll find the reasons for both formats...

personally I only do RAW these days

Hi,

use RAW if you want full control and quality, as well as in WB problematic places.

Jpeg is easier to manage and handle in post processing.

Imagine u shoot a wedding with hundreds of RAW to process.....pray hard your computer is fast enough to convert them.

I shoot a mixture of both depending on what is required.

RAW does give you better control as well as higher quality of image actually.

Haha... This has been asked a lot of times...

I use mostly Jpeg, although I switch to RAW when it matters to me.

Different people have different needs. That's why there are choices. Just use the one that suits your needs.

as mention by thom hogan's guide:

2groups of photograpers-
1. "I want mostly automatic"
2. "I'm willing to invest time and get it right"

Jpg- fast and not much processing.
Raw- Need time to tweak and get the best image out of it.
