[jon.chiang] Urban Landscapes

Marina Coastal Expressway, Singapore

Yesterday's sunset fizzled out from behind the thick clouds, but the blue hour cloud movement was worth the wait. For some reason, this spot has gotten really popular and there were no less than ten photographers vying for a spot! Unfortunately, living in a Garden City means that the flyover from which this was shot from has to be planted with lots of shrubs and bushes, so the best spot (being a tiny clearing among the bushes) can only tightly fit four photographers at one sitting. Luckily, we got there in time to secure a spot!

2-frame blend (one frame for sky, and one for light trails, quite lucky to have gotten strong light trails on both sides in one frame!), with Haida 3-stop Nanopro ND filter for a longer exposure.

Excellent!

Fleeting View by Jon Chiang, on Flickr

Sunrise from Clementi last Saturday. This is a new vantage point from a new public residential building, but it's about to change very soon due to current construction of more residential buildings in the foreground. Hopefully the newer flats will have a similar or better view, but one can only hope in rapidly-changing Singapore.

4-tile panorama with 35mm PC Nikkor, shifted down for more foreground buildings. Haida 3-stop Nanopro ND filter.

A lot of effort and time spent to capture these images! Thank you for sharing:)
