Ixus500 or HP R707?

I am looking for a small compact but good camera, and I've shortlisted the Canon Ixus500 and HP R707. I've heard lots about the Canon but not the HP, so I would love to read reviews of this here.

Other cameras I'm thinking of are ..

Fuji Finepix F450 (not out yet) or Sony's P1 or W1 (??).
