Ixus 500

Anyone used or own this camera? Was thinking of getting one for the missus, since she complains the D70 is too heavy and bulky for her to carry around

I'm familiar with the Canon G5, so basically I wanna know: How does this camera compare to the G5 in terms of picture quality, functions, battery life (the G5 is pretty good!)...etc

IMOO I would think the Ixus 430 a better buy.. comparing the 430 with 500.. the pixel different is not that much, but the 430 produce better image quality then the 500..
