Hi guys,

Can anyone enlightened me the difference with the following lenses and which is the best to choose :

1.Tamron AF SP 10-24/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Asph (IF) Canon

2.Sigma AF 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM Canon

3.Sigma AF 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM Canon

Prices for these lenses in Europe where I live are pretty much standard wheather you buy them on line or in the stores(Euro 400 -500ish and for Canon is round Euro 700ish)
Anyone know where I can check prices in Singapore? Reckon it would be cheaper there considering the exchange rate ;)

Thnx

Tamron Have a bigger range... more 4mm..

sigma f3.5 is faster than both of the lens with hsm.

it depends on your usage. If you need range, tamron can be a good choice.

need a little speed then sig f3.5 will be good for u..

hi evilbaby91, thnx for replying but both Stigma lenses mentioned here with HSM .
There must be a new version I read somewhere ? am I correct?

I might also consider Tamron AF SP 10-24/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Asph (IF) Canon .

If I were to choose, I would go for the T10-24mm for haing the biggest range if I were to put cost a side.

If you want some reviews you can try searching at http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/index.asp

If you want get some quotes you may want to try to get online quotes from the following stores. Do note they are not online stores.

TS..... Personally, I would go for the New Sigma AF 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM Canon.

My Reason -
* Constant f3.5
* The zoom difference between 20mm & 24mm is really minimum.
* I buy UWA lens for it's 'Wide'..... not zoom range.
* Having the old Sigma AF 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM.... I know it works well.

Of course.... it all up to you in the end. :bsmilie:

get the second one?...big aperture for you to play!
