C&C...here goes, If a photo is in black and white does it mean it did not do well in colour?
Anyway I think this shot looks stronger if cropped below the the tee shirt collar then I don't wonder
where's the head.
A warm father and child photo but it seems the child is in sharper focus as can be seen from the out of focus arms of dad.
Got to take into account the aperture used in this case for more depth of field
The photo would be more interesting if the other guy is included rather than
partially cutoff as it gives a comparison and perspective to the story. Also if taken from
an angle rather than square on gives a better sense of depth.
The guy pushing the heavy weight could benefit from a better angle like using the
vertical poles to frame the head and showing the facial expression
giving more drama to the photo.
The colour photo show only the head in focus which again I think it would look better if other parts of the body were in focus and more negative space to the right. Of course these are just my opinions and you can ignore them and say you were trying a "Lomo" kind of look? Thanks for sharing.
