I have some questions about filters:
a) Does a multi-coated filter will affect the f-stop? (i think not, is it true?)

b) Is 46mm thread size filter common? (as I am going to start collecting some filters :D )

Thanks in advance!

46mm? digicam?
hmm maybe if u like can buy 49mm or 52mm use a stepup and stack all u want!
I know the camera shops usually stock all sizes... vs electronics stores...

46mm filters are somewhat hard to find in Singapore. I remember seeing a limited number of 46mm filters at some of the camera shops at Peninsular Plaza, but that's already many months ago. If you can, get a 46-49 step-up ring (easily available) and go with 49mm filters instead, since that will not only enable you to get the filters you want more easily, but it will also reduce the chance of vignetting.
