Is your firewire working?

I seem to have lots of problem getting my Panansonic camcorder to work with fierwire connection with my Acer laptop running Window XP.

I am hesitant to buy another device with firewire connection.

Anyone here has got his/her firewire device working with the PC?

haven tried.. I tested the connection with a HDD.
