I suggest CHILDREN be added as a sub-group in portraits.
And IR and UV be set apart, from what I've read, not really that similar. =D

Is this Clubsnap's definition/scope or general?
If it's general photography, I believe candids + all forms of photography involving people fall under portrait.

ditto. too many 'landmine' baby pics lying around the portraits section.

Does stop-motion photography qualify anywhere? (Or would it be a sub-set of product?)
And do remote camera 'traps' fit anywhere in the nature section?

 Was about to add lunar and solar eclipses (would they fall under News and Reportage) when I saw your post.

Zoossh,
You are preparing yourself to write a book or what ? The amount of research and hardwork you are putting through makes me think you are gonna prepare a Photography Bible :bsmilie:
Great work, bro

I for one always felt that the WoN forums should be split into two sub forums : one purely for pets/domesticated animals and one for wildlife, be it captive or wild animals. Insects are part of nature too but would be more appropriate in the Macro sub forum.

this is not meant to replace the current clubsnap categories as it is in their concerns to group topics of sufficient volume together. i'm compiling the list to help newbies who is wondering "what should i shoot?" and "what is there to shoot?"

dun be surprised that there are many of us who started shooting plants and cups at home, not knowing why we are shooting them and what is so interesting about them, not thinking of what is the subject matter and not knowing where to look for similar topics for learning, and shooting them not knowing there is such things as macro, and never thinking of stepping out to shoot a star trail.

and for that, i would love to see inputs. if i can write them all, i would be dropping my work now and becoming a prolific professional photographer.... but i'm not.

anyway, i've come out with a pathetic list here.

and they dun work as settings, they work as principles.

Great work, bro

if i know how to do a html, i would already have a website on korean movies..... but that interest dies off with the lack of time, the lack of money to collect dvds, and the new interest....

just thought of doing something free for ppl. there is something that need to be updated all the time, i can't do that unless that is my bread and butter job. but what i can do is to compile them in a useful manner, things that you can write once, and it stays true for a long time, or say at least for a few months to a few years.

It is good enough to have this write out...
