Is there any more places to go in SG?

Beside going to Zoo, JBP, Chinatown and CBD. I think maybe going to Sentosa and Chinese Garden. Is there anymore places worth taking photos? I heard there's a place built near Changi Area for leisure (for joggers too). Any more places to go in SG???? Thanks..

Pulau Ubin is quite worth a trip. Singapore Botanic Gardens is my favourite haunt. Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, and the newly opened Kranji extension is quite worth a trip also.

Then there's also the Lim Chu Kang mangrove, which can get a clear view of JB. There's also a number of fishermans and kelong in that area too!

Labrador park is worthy of a trip too! Though I doubt that the authority allows the public to step on the rocky shore. Oh! It's the only patch of rocky shore left on the Singapore mainland.

Hmm... there's also a number of parks and beaches that are interesting, like East Coast and West Coast, Changi Beach, etc.

That's Seletar reservoir. You have to enter via the Yishun side (can't remember which avenue, but there's a road running parallel to it, which passes by Orchid Country Club) where there's a road to a spacious parking lot. The view is pretty interesting from there.

Talking about reservoir, do also go to MacRitchie reservoir. There are two trails at the reservoir, one where the runners take, and another one (leading to another direction) where the nature lover go. Quite lovely sights there as well!

Ah! More nature haunt... Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. There's so many trails there (err... actually there's only about 4 or 5) that if you plan nicely, it would be a different experience everytime!

i took pics there before, when i showed it to my friends, they said it's not advise to shoot those satellites , as the action might be mistaken for something else ... nevertheless, the pics came out to be quite nice though ...

i took pics there before, when i showed it to my friends, they said it's not advise to shoot those satellites , as the action might be mistaken for something else ... nevertheless, the pics came out to be quite nice though ...

Maybe you can try places like the Central Catchment Area, Sungei Buloh wetland reserve, Orchid Garden, The Ming Village, Font Canning or you can try wandering into lim chu kang for some abstract photos etc. There are actually many places you can visit in Singapore. You can try to grab some brochures at hotels are some singapore attractions. you be surprise that there are many places you not heard of.

Going back to the same place might not be a bad things, every trip gets you something different, different lighting etc....

You want to shoot through the glass of the viewing gallery at night? I would pay money to see that! I suppose if you don't make a campfire or put out a sleeping bag, you should be ok with the authorities. Just find an empty bench to crash... although I still can't imagine why you would want to do that.

Great shots of the aeroplanes ...

Did you place your lens against the glass window or did you stand a small distance away from the glass window?

What is a good time to go to the airport to shoot aeroplanes?

It would help to place yourself in a way that is free of reflection from the glass. And generally, the darker the tint of the window, the closer I shoot to the glass. It's a bit of experimenting. The glass usually acts like some sort of polarizer because of the tint. Might want to turn it up by half a stop or so, depending on ambient light conditions of course.

What time is good? Generally when it's not raining and when the light is good. The T1 gallery (near Swensen's) looks Northeast so I would only shoot the runway shots in the morning. You can get away with taxying airplanes or parked aircraft all day long, the light is not bad. The other part of the gallery looks North to the main parking area, that is usually good from noon till dusk.

It would help if you have some interest in commercial aviation. Might want to look out for airplanes with special livery or unusual types not usually found in Changi.

plenty of places to go to.

y'day, i started shooting at about 1pm around sim lim, then walked to bugis junction, then to st andrew's cathedral, next was adelphi/funan's bridge -> chin swee -> area around outram secondary -> area behind outram mrt -> bukit pasoh road -> neil road -> banda st -> hong lim complex. finally ended the day at about 8pm.

all by walking. plenty of places to walk. good training, too

What about Pearl's Hill? It's up a slope behind Outram Mrt. Lots of green and some water (if the pond's not dried up yet). In the early morning, I think there are old folks there doing exercises...
