Is there a way to record post-camera processing?

I wonder if i used photoshop to make changes to a picture, is there a way for the system or the program to record in words (not manually of cos) what are the steps that i have done to the picture? something like a log file?

Interesting qn... I usually just use pen and paper, or save it as a psd file with the layers intact.

thanks all. i'm trying to keep the habit of recording all the camera settings and the post-camera settings. i rely on the exif for some information, and the rest from recording or memory. as for the post-camera setting in photoshop, a bit more difficult becos there are a lot of trial and errors, changes and reversals. if can be automatically recorded in a log file somewhere that i can look for, would be great.
