Is the best way to store unused film..

to store in low and dry temperatures, eg non freezing compartment of fridge?

how long can films be stored w/o affecting its emulsion or any other characteristics/properties?

Supposedly forever. Or thats what i heard at least

Never really tried. Never had film that stay unused longer than 6 months.
Anyway, do remember to give some time for the film to "defrost" before using them...in humid Singapore, water vapour can easily form on cold film.

Store in the fridge. no need freezer. Store till expiry date, which by then the colours should start to fade.
