Yes, you can use microwave oven to dry them, but there would be a smell afterwards, just leave the oven door open for a few minutes to get rid of the smell.

i did...but then becos it will absorb moisture very quickly again...i get a dry cabinet instead

They turn pink once they cool down. Not very useful... Dry cabin is far more an effective way to store your equipment especially your prized camera.
