Is Lumix FX03 a good choice?

Hi,

Anyone has bought or used Panasonic Lumix FX03? Is Panasonic Lumix FX-03 good? What are the pros and cons? Which is better? FX01 OR FX03?

I think Fx01 is btr, 28mm lens compared to Fx3's 35mm.

There is no camera model of FX03. Panasonic has FX3. There is a significant difference between the single digit (e.g. FX3, FX9) and the double digit (e.g. FX01, FX07, FX50). I believe the double digit one are positioned as higher end and better camera (like the 28mm, better digital processing engine venus III, higher resolution screen). For me, if budget allows, will go for the FX07 or FX50.

don really agree with the single or double digit... pana started name the fx series from single digit, but there will be a end of it (theres only 1-9!) so they gotta increase the count like fx01...etc

but for fz-series, the number do mean the grade of camera like fz5 vs fz50...

Please take note that Panasonic introduction sequence:

FX1, FX5
FX2, FX7
FX8
FX9
FX01
FX07, FX50
FX3

rumour has it that it was originally supposed to be FX-10 but due to mistakes within the company in the areas of marketing and stuffs, they have an enormous amount of marketing materials which labels the "FX-10" as FX-01. This proves to be too expensive a mistake to fix and therefore Panasonic went with the FX-01 model no.

FX-01 retailer cost price is at $425 (AFAIK)
FX-07 retailer cost price is at $466
