Is it worth going overseas for uni education?
my answer is going to be HELL YES! You get to experience life in a different culture and get alot more viewpoints than you would by staying here. Gives you a much better world view in my opinion just make sure as eikin said that its a quality institution and program so at least your education base will be covered and strengthened. After all you're there to study first and party 2nd.

I left Singapore beginning of 1993 to study in Australia and I'm still here 14 years later! :sweatsm: :sweatsm: :sweatsm:

It's worth it (even if nasi lemak costs AUD$9 a plate)!

Is it worth going overseas for uni education?
It depends where you go.

To a university in a less-developed country-- prob not.
To a so-so university in a developed country-- 50-50.
To an Ivy League university-- Bet you wouldn't be asking this question here.

I've got a new pair of black high heels.

Itching to wear it and post here. :)
seriously, if you can afford it, do go for it.
nothing beats the exposure of overseas universities.
that of course, is restricted which country you go to.
and do check with whatever company you intend to join when you're back.
cos some universities' certs aint recognised in sgp.(i'm not kiddin).

i've never regretted going overseas even though i was offered a place in NUS.

just do it.

I think the degree you are going for is also impt.

But if u ask me, yes I'll grab the chance to go overseas for uni studies if i could turn back the clock..

OT, but I think all the minister's kiddos are going overseas to study, so they telling us something with their actions... :nono:
