Is it costly to maintain a digital M series camera?

Hi, I've just post these same questions in the Leica Sub Forum and realised that it's sort of quiet there (last post was in June). So, I thought I'll ask here. Sorry for the double posting.

I am seriously considering purchasing a pre-owned M Monochrom. Is it costly to maintain an M camera? I mean, how much is the average cost when you have to send it to Leica for general cleaning, and perhaps an occasional rangefinder alignment? Are the Leica guys technically reliable and honest?
