Wanted to get my first Omega. Wondering if it is really cheaper to get at Singapore DFS as compared to local shops.

Agreed with Jeanie. Hour Glass (if you know the sales person) is cheaper than DFS. I've checked them out when looking for my Omega.

generally in SG, if you buy the branded watches like Omega/Rolex etc, you can get some serious discount. Other brands that is less common, i.e. Panerai etc, is more difficult. At DFS, they basically do not give you any discount so might as well buy in retail.

Hobbylink At far east has some good deal for panerai/rolex/AP u can take a look there also( all authentic acc to local watch forum- I been there once but never see what I like) Google for the webby

If you are not looking for a mainstream model you can wait for the local ADs to have their sale, unfortunately Cortina and The Hour Glass just had theirs, not sure when is Sincere's.

Don't keep your hopes up if you are aiming for a popular model though, there is not likely to be a difference in discount they can give you compared to purchasing on a normal day.

btw guys,

please do your own homework.

i may have my own lobang but i am not sure if she's the cheapest in sgp.

and as you know, all these brands you're asking for are easily more than 10k.
so, they already know you are rich enough to purchase these watches, and that's why you asked.
dont expect to bargain like pasar malam hor.
