Hi, I strumbled upon a 2nd hand Canon 17-35 F2.8L and I would like to seek advises and options from fellow CS members who had experience with it. I also conducted a online research but there was a little results. Thanks a million.

you'll be using it for cropped sensor?

personally, i'd rather get tammy 17-50/2.8

stick with the tamron if you're intending to use it on the 50d.

If it is that good, it will not be replaced that soon. Good lenses are there for ages....like the 70-200F2.8L non IS......

17-35 is pretty good as a zoom but its soft corners at 17mm at f2.8 are the main reasons to update the zoom with 16-35/2.8 I. Even 16-35 mk I is soft in the corners, so version two comes out.

The distorsion is great at 17mm. Otherwise, this zoom is superb stopping down to f8

17-35 is a pretty old Lens, and you already have the 10-22 and Tammy 17-50.
Why do you still want to consider that?
Because it's an L Lens? or izzit the selling price is so low that you are tempted to buy?

For that focus length, I'll probably go for 17-40L or 16-35L II if I can afford.

Thank U for all the responses. I was thinking of enquiring it because I want to give my tammy to my younger brother. Ha. Guess I have to start to save up for the 16-35 ones.
