Is a screen calibrator like Spyder2 worth getting?

I am toying with the idea of buying a screen calibrator such as Spyder2 or Huey to ensure that I get the correct colors after taking the trouble to Photoshop my pics as I seem to be getting slightly different results at the printing stage (I am using a Canon 6600 printer - which I thnk is not bad!). Does anyone use a screen calibrator? Is it worth getting?

My own opinions only. I dun recommend the Huey, gives you a yellow tint on your PC and have not gotten used to it since day 1... Not tried the Spyder thou... no $$ ;p

eh its a device u use to profile ya screens so that hopefully, with the screen gamut u can get the "correct colours".... you should be able to get stuff like this from major camera stores like cathay....

though not the best of all products i would say, having a huey beats having nothing..

tried both the older spyder and the i1..... well...its a preference..but i'm sticking to i1..

cheers

I read some comments in dp that Pantone Eye One 2 is better than the Spyder one...

Any idea where i can buy the Pantone One? Using it for office..
