IR filter get local or Ebay
should we get them locally or at ebay

last heard from my friend he paid $100 plus for a IR filter

so which range suppose to use for fun fun thing

1000nm is suitable for low latitudes and strong light use;
950nm is suitable for outdoor and strong light use;
850nm is suitable for outdoor and strong light use;
760nm is suitable for indoor and weak light use;
720nm is suitable for indoor and weak light use;
680nm is suitable for dawn or faint light use

thank you

Anyone can answer? Use mod on cam or use filter
Which is better?

My Canon G2 is modded with a 715nm filter, allowing false colouring (similar to R72 720nm filter), which is fun.
I just got a 1000nm filter from ebay (~$25) which I can attach to my camera to block out even more. :D
Modded cam is easier though, but the camera will be dedicated to IR if the filter is installed inside, which is great :D
