Hi all.

I used my LX5 to take some pictures, and now, I want to transfer it into iPhoto. But when I connect my LX5 to my macbook and select "USB" mode, iPhoto does not detect my LX5.

Any solutions to this?

Set your camera to "PC" not "Pictbridge".

Buy a SDHC USB card reader from SLS about $4 - $7 and avoid the hassle of connecting to your LX5, save on your batteries too.

there are only two options right? i picked the second one, not pictbridge. but still, my macbook couldn't detect my camera.

Looks like you may have to install PHOTOfunSTUDIO after all under "emulation" mode on your Macbook.

I'm not a Mac user as I don't own a Macbook so I can't help you further on "emulation" mode but I believe your MacOS should have one for windows?

iPhoto by right should be able to detect the LX5 and auto import the photos. Does it have the same problem with other cameras? If not , temporary use a SD card reader to transfer pictures over.

Anyone tried connecting the lx5 to a iPad using the ipads camera connecting kit? Tks

Just got lx5 and able to connect to iphoto.

Check pref>general>connecting camera opens>iphoto (not image capture)
