iPhone 5S iPhone 5C IOS7

just saw this statement from the following article

"The camera in the iPhone 5S basically moved the needle two years ahead of the entire camera industry. Not just smart phone cameras — all cameras. There is a well known photography adage that states “the best camera is the one that’s with you”. Well, if you have an iPhone 5S that statement will remain true no matter what other camera you may have available. This is largely because the new 64bit processor means that they have all the raw processing power they need to be able to execute features and techniques that not even the most expensive professional SLR cameras can deliver."

wonder if the article claims have any real weight to it?

will the 5s camera be much better than the 5 in real world performance? super curious to find out...

So if you sell the phone, then what happens?
There must be a way to de-register your finger print and then do a fresh registration of the new owner's finger print, right?
Is this easy to do; or very difficult; or impossible?

They say your finger print is translated into digital signals which is then stored. Duh.... what else?
You have to trust them that your finger print data is not collected & stored somewhere in a big commercial database.
They say kept only in your phone.

Sure, you can believe them.

Also, please note that hard disk forensics is such that data deleted or even poorly wiped can be recovered.
So your finger print digital data in a phone that is re-sold to a shop or another person may not be safe.
It can be re-used later to commit a cyber crime, buy an expensive item or some other mischief that lands you in trouble.

If you sell the phone to a shop, how does the shop de-register your finger print?
And does the shop help the new buyer of the used phone to register his finger print?

If the procedure is well known later on, very easy for a robber to force the owner to de-register his finger print, right?
Or else he chops your finger/hand off; as an act of frustration - even if the dead finger cannot be used to unlock (as claimed)

How does the phone know that a finger is "live" or "dead".
Can a robber use a finger just chopped off a few seconds ago to unlock the phone?
You mean the phone can tell the difference?

Do the robbers care to listen to a victim's long explanation that a dead finger cannot unlock the phone? (as claimed by apple)
I don't think they have the patience to listen.
Bye bye finger.

i wonder if the author even understands what a 64-bit processor is.

"64 > 32, therefore it's the bestest, greatest thing evar!!!"

Well the author probably believed that double the bit but not double the price, that is bestest greatest apple thing ever.

US tech Very scary.

Facebook - know who is your friends
LinkedIn - know who is your business partners
Google search - know what u search
Google maps - know where you usually go
Web mail - see your email
Dropbox - see your document
Flickr - see your face
Utube - know your interests
iPhone - they want your finger print !

Sorry, you mean the Internet gave you all of the above.

So stop using them. And then the complaints will stop.

Just an apple fanboy who's deluded. If he can dig up an old adage like that, here's one too:

"genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration"

The phone may have the hardware, but it lacks the soul to bring out a true piece of art. You may have a fancy phone with a camera, but without the experience, you won't know the angles, the framing etc

The writer condemned post-processing as well, but failed to realize that any form of adjusment after the photo is captured, is already post-processed.

The only thing that the very smart iphone is doing to its users, is that it makes them stupid with its "technology". The less people think and let automation take over, the more they lose innovation

OMG.... reading that article really is a fantastic example of what a person brainwashed by apple marketing sounds like. He has zero idea of what he's talking about.

Anyone got watch the keynote? Some say apple died with Steve jobs. What you guys think?

He died at the right time to leave his legacy the way it is for him and history telling his story. Iphone 4 was the first sign things was on the wane. Had he live on now and into the future he is just another person or company like the many other great who has come and fade away. The legacy would have been less stellar. He is like the Jame Dean and Elvis of the computer world. Had those icon had live to a ripe of age, their legacy would never have been so great.

Hmmm... your example actually refutes your conclusion.
James Dean may have died at his peak, but Elvis? Yes, he was still revered by many, but at the time of his death he was well past it as far as his influence on the music industry went (Hendrix might be a better example). Would you thus say Elvis' legacy was diminished since he lived to see his image and importance diminish?
Anyway, the legacy of Jobs and these others are simply what they are. All this speculation about what would have happened if they lived longer is useless. Far better to work on your own legacy :)

True.. Elvis was a poor choice. I was thinking along hte line of his comeback in 1968 and then he flop again and there was talk about another comeback and then his death. Thus whatever it is ...it did brought on till today people who still think he is alive but fake his death to Elvis sighting..etc.

Any way.. poor choice but you get the gist of it. BTW It does not mean i don't have my own legacy stewing away like other unknown individuals LOL ...I am part of that 99.99999999999% population that will just fade into the night without so much as a byline.

But whatever it is, back to topic....Apple has seen betters days. As the saying in advertising goes.. you are only as good as your last piece of work. It has made (legendary?) history just like the many othera in the past and the more new ones to come along to surpass it in time. Evolution does not stand still. A mobile phone witha better camera then a camera. That may happen....one day but not today. And most likely..not from Apple.
