Hi all!

Just registered to be part of this great community.

I "lurked" here for some time before deciding to buy my first prosumer camera, thanks to the useful comments and opinions here.

Lots of things to learn about photography, so I hope to learn from all the veterans here. :D

Bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28.

Didn't feel ready for DSLR just yet, even though I did consider it. :)

Welcome, the important thing is that you now have a camera and can focus on learning to get the most of out while learning what makes a good photograph...

...and most importantly, have fun.

Any cam can shoot. In fact I just whoop up my old p&s panasonic fz1 and took this doggie pic on my first snap <-- . Once you get the hang of it, you can handle any cam. Welcome to the world of photography!
