some time ago i saw an post here here linked to an article talking abotu hwo some guy managed to print a truck sized banner photo from a small megapixel image using sofware interpolation....anyone can remember where that post is? tried to search but cant find.

Not sure which article u referring to.

But I have used Genuine Fractals and found it less than desirable, considering that it is a software that u pay xtra for,beside PS.

PS 'step interpolation'/bicubic does the job pretty well. With visibly less 'painterly' look. My personal opinion is that GF does not work as well with photos,maybe fine for illustrations. But thats just me.
