Apparently he refers to DSLR(SLR) dominance and Mirrorless penetration in recent years (and the very slow move of the two entering mirrorless). Yes, so it is very related to Canon and Nikon.

to me it's not a very well researched article. For instance, superior customer service of the smaller players?? Is he sure about that? I know of one 'smaller' player that only release like one firmware upgrade for the life cycle of the camera, despite numerous complaints. Is that superior customer service?

And fanboys are not stupid. Just like former toyota fanboys in Singapore..now most of them are prob VW fanboys.

The moral of the story. don't be arrogant, the is always a higher wave behind the big one. smaller waves can turn out to be bigger than what you think.
