It seems that there are many ppl interesteed in firearms but we apparently dun have a chance to touch it unless we join a Gun Club (which would be pretty expensive since the total cost of it would run up to apprx the cost of a D200).

Chanced upon this and wondering if anyone is interested: http://www.singaporeshooting.org/SampleShoot.pdf

The cost is $100 for 1/2 day shoot.

Looks interesting. But if it is 2nd week (Sunday) of next month July, clashes with Saucony Run at Bedok Reservoir/Temasek Poly.

JOIN JOIN JOIN ...... love the part when they simulated a bank robbery where we needed to determine 'hostage' or 'robber' during the shootout :) ..not sure if they still do that know ...nevertheless, it was a memorable experience

Thnx for the upz bro.

Anyway, from my last mail exchange with them, its a simple 'feel' of the weapons. Just a 50m outdoor range. Everything's provided for so (including ammunition and weapons) for the $100.

Anyway, I had mailed them with regards to the expected dates for the sampler shoot programme for next month (as well as membership stuff - backside itchy, thinking of joining). Still waiting for reply. If anyone's interested just put ur name in here and bracket it as 'tentative'. :)

So, anyone wanna join? Been a long, long time since I touched firearms.

Very interested to go and tembak. But I not NS man. Would this be a problem?

To all non-Singaporeans, 1st generation PRs and Pre-NSF enlistees.

The shoot is open to all members of the public and as I'd enquired, there would not be a need to submit any form of personal documentation for any form of so-called 'security clearance'.

However, as per safety regulations, no one is allowed to bring home the firearm (naturally) or any parts of the firearm including bullets (owning 1 bullet = 7yr imprisonment) or other pyrotechnics.

And all participants are required to sign off an indemnity form as well. Which simply means if u decided to go berserk and shoot urself instead of the targets, its simply a 'too bad' for u as u can't get compensation frm the organisers from shooting urself (this, of cos, common sense as well).

bro, when u scheduling it? i'm more of a handgun person. ;p

PM me yah? or sms if u still have my number. did u check with office people? think there shld be a few gun enthusiasts ard.

Nw waiting for reply from SRA/DSAS only but I'd asked them for their next 3mths expected schedule.

I'd probably be scheduling it for the next session in July so I need to get the numbers up ASAP (hopefully within a week). If ppl feel this round is too rushed, probably I'll arrange for the next one in August.

Ur number never change right? I'll keep u in the loop. Right nw if include u only 4ppl.

Office? So far only asked ppl frm my section, response abit despondent. I'll check around though.

I'm interested, but hopefully the "rifle" is not an M16 - had enough of that **** lol.

Is it possible to find out what specific guns will be used? e.g. is the 9mm a Glock or something?

.22 rifle doesn't exactly tell me much either :)

Upz for you! :)

The typical semi-auto pistols used during these fam shoots are the Glock 19, Beratta 92 and Sig P226, all in 9mm or .38 revolvers S&W and Taurus models.

Ah okay thanks for the insight :)

I wonder if we will ever get to try a Desert Eagle - or maybe not - the kick is realyl huge right?

I kinda love the DE when playing games :) HEH Looks nice and apparently has very high penetrating power.

.50 calibre I dun think we'll ever get to try it on a 50m range here though.

And in the other thread, Terence had said that Cisco had raised their escort fee or something like dat, and the price of a DE .50 Special is apprx USD$7K and the only place u can store it is at the gun range's armoury. So basically I guess u have to spend more den SGD$10K importing it and end up not firing it at all. :(

So, back to topic. If anyone's interested plz fill in ur name. Thnx. :)
