Got the modified for IR Pentax *ist DL2 just a few days ago from our brother fengwei.
Was sick with the flu bug and injured my ankle but managed to try out some shots over the weekend. Another lens that confirm has no hot spots is the Pentax FA 28-200mm f/3.8~5.6 superzoom.

Shooting with a modified IR camera is really fun and dead easy. Exposure time is easily within hand holding limits. With the megapixel count of Pentax DSLRs going up, I think more should consider having our 6.1 megapixel DSLRs converted as a dedicated IR camera.

Comments welcome. Please add on to the thread if you have shot some nice IR pictures using a Pentax camera.

To kick off, here's a ghostly wedding shoot...

Look like vampires.

So you got the IR converted camera also. Nice shots.

Perhaps you guys are more accustomed to seeing IR images like these: ;)

You're right on that point. Thanks for the compliment.
Actually I still got a lot to learn from you, especially the finer aspects of post processing.

You should post some of your own here.
Can make this a thread to help Pentax users towards their conversion to IR... :bsmilie:

Aiyoh, I better stay away from this thread. Wait see all the nice IR pics cannot tahan go look for our bro for cure. :bsmilie: Anyway so far so safe. :bsmilie:

*ist DL2 DA 14mm

simdavid & fengwei, thanks for the compliments.
The DA 14mm is definitely IR friendly. I really find the focal length to be just right.
Now must plan for one. ;)

Another one with the DA 14mm. Just a hint of lens flare. :)
