Haha. I read your post and thought well you should have a look at AA then. And then I clicked your link and it was AA :)

who cares whether an image is hdr, it just has to work.

no need to look just at the old times. we have our new legion of great photographers as well. AA will always be AA, but there are also others.

not many of these use HDR, i think.. other than perhaps patrick di fruscia

a few of them do blending though.
