images on dvd

Hi guys,
I don’t know whether this is appropriate in here, but can anyone help me with this:

Know those images you see on plasma TV every time you walk into a modern furnished building. Does anyone know any software that allows me to do this and the minimal resolution to get nice crisp images? It’s burning still images onto DVDs having the images being able to play on DVD players. Please help.
