Image stabilization technology (for Canon) is a feature of the lens, not the body. The IS switch is on the lens itself.

I have an EOS33 (same as EOS30, just w/o ECF), but I don't see the switch you're talking about....

u mean the custom function.... to prog the lens button.

Canon Image stabilizing units are only found in Lenses....

Canon gives u custom functions(CFn) to customize your camera to your liking. You have have read that you can toggle the IS on and off using the CFn to reprogram a lens button on the bigger white monsters that have them.

if i'm confusing u then nvm.

EOS30 got CFn EOS 300 dont have.

EOS30 and EOS 300 both can use lenses with IS in them.

can?

Oh ya. NEVER THE LESS. you can switch off the IS on the lens itself.
