Help! I have recovered some images for a client, who deleted their memory card whilst on holiday. However, all the recovered files have a .THM file extension and I don't know what to do to open them.

Can anyone help? Thanks

have you try to change the extension name from .thm to something like .jpg

Tried that - didn't seem to work

Which software did you use? You might want to try another software to see if it helps. I find PhotoRescue to be pretty good at these. .THM is probably the thumbnail files for the Canon RAW (CRW) format. If memory didn't fail me, they have JPEG/TIFF headers that the software can recognise, but they might not recognise CRW, so those are not recovered.

What are the file sizes? THM are usually very small, just a few hundred bytes or a few K.
