Hi guys...

I'm new to here so I need some advices from the "PROs" in this forum.

Can recommend me

1) whether to get a DSLR or a SLR to start off with?

2) choices of lens?

3) accessories and things necessary for photography?

I prefer Canon to any other brands.

Thanks in advance.

I am relatively new here myself and let me be one of the first to welcome you to ClubSnap.

About your enquiries and the following is my two cents worth.

1. A DSLR (Canon D60) would set you back around $3700.
Thus getting a DSLR would be quite an investment, unless
you have a lot of money to throw around. Therefore, I would
recommend getting a second hand SLR from a second hand
dealer or from a retail shop. A good one many people go to
would be John 3:16 at Funan.

2. As for lenses. I would say start off with two lenses. One 50
mm and one 85mm. These two lenses should start you off
well in the arena of photography.

3. As for accessories, do invest in a good flash unit. You never
know when you would be needing it. A monopod or a tripod
would also be good complements to your photography gear.

If there are any other questions, post me a message.

Yr setup is very BIG!!! I see already very envy...But I trust my Canonet!!!!

A fantastic 60's to 70's range of rangefinders from Canon. See the canon website for the entire range.

U dunno what's a CANONET???

Check out the search engine and you will know...;)

It's a basic and yet good to use camera.

Maybe I will get a DSLR and also SLR. Maybe will get some f2.8 telezoom, standard zoom and also wide angle zoom.

It's not being rich...it's an interest in photography. If I'm rich, I will go for those Red Dots liaoz. These canon things I still can afford.

Hi I just got them not long ago. Before that, I was asking for help. since now I have most of them, I think I can close this thread. Most of these are cheap deals from my friends...especially on the D30...Thks very much to him.
