i try. translated

photography is a magical experience. in our journey through life, every moment that flashes by, we can use our camera to freeze it in a photo, preserving that piece of memory. sounds beautiful? but what has this gotta do with marriage?. after many years of observation, i conclude that male photographers have this few nice traits.

1: optimism. photography is subtractive. a good photographer can extract, subtract the negative details from a messy scene, to portray a beautiful scenary. life is the same. it is never pretty. but photographers know how to find the brighter side of life. in other words, if he marries you, he will happily ignore your flaws, and only care abt ur positive traits.

2: healthy body. they often carry several kilo's worth of equipments, out in nature, to take photos. this habit of venturing out often makes every male photograpehr have a nice healty body. i seen a old 70 year man, he can still carry more than 20kilos of equipments for more than 10s of kilometers. which lady wanna marry a sick man anyways!

3: easy to understand. often, males in today society often are superficial. however, photographers cant do that. just look at his works and one can understand how he views the world. how can a photographer who can shoot the wonderful scenes of the world, be petty! they are never pessimistic, and they are full love love (ew. like seriously?)

4: influencial. photographers are influencial. their photos record a moment in time, some may impact on society in the future, becoming part of our past.

doesnt having this kind of guy makes u proud? if u wanna marry, girls, get a nice male photographer.

oh dear, whoever wrote this article obviously doesn't know about the many, many photographers who are wolves in sheep's clothing.

at the very start, i only thought only those photographers who focus on the wrong area are the bad eggs.

then as time went along, you hear things, then you look at the photographers involved, their photos look fine. some of them even do pretty decent portraiture and speak up continuously against the "bad eggs" that are more obvious. these are the worst of the lot. :bsmilie:

in chinese, there is a name for them: 伪君子

if you read carefully, the writer do not include photographers who likes/only take photos of women.

the underlining message is find any photographers don't love to take photos of women is safe. :)

Hahahaha.... that is a good observation, and is somewhat or potentially true. Not all men who do portraits of women are wicked.

but almost everyone with a camera phone is a photographer wor... anyway, such an article is a 'barnum effect'... no difference from horoscope... you can argue all you want but no valdity... might as well say Marry someone who is finance trained - good with keeping and investing, or Marry someone who is an athelete, healthy for life, etc...

but what the crap, i believe it is in the leisure or humor section of the newspaper la... haha...

Optimism
There are photographers who capture scenes of war, death and gore. Some even have very sad overtones coming from their pictures. So how is that optimistic?

Healthy body
I gained weight when I was shooting street photography. It was dehydrating and I tend to eat more everytime I rest. Also, going under the sun for such long periods is damaging to the skin too. Carrying equipment and walking long distances is aerobic exercise, which would encourage storage of fat and carbohydrates in the cells - instead of developing muscles. :p

Easy to understand
Photographers are not superficial and not petty? I know most good photographers are super anal when it comes to evaluating photos - fingers chopped off, 1 fine hair over the face, one dust speck in the sky, etc. LOL

Influential
I don't know where that came from... :dunno:
