Thanks for the heads up. I wonder if this is similar to EU where the sales tax only applies if the buyer is residing in EU. For buyers outside of US, it is like the airport, where you can claim back tax.
Do note that states without this sales tax (like Oregon, which is why VPost is there) might still be exempt - this law only makes sure that the "brick and mortar" rule is not enforced.
At the end, it would encourage people to buy things local (local city/town) as if you were to buy things online, it would be sales tax plus shipping cost.
