In photography that is. Which is the specific area of photography that u would look forward in furthering ur skills?

Poll coming up.

Specifically, it'll be animal photography, including wildlife photography. However, that's pretty useless in Singapore.

In terms of sheer usefulness, portraiture might be one of those higher on the list. Plus, it's a crowd pleaser...all relatives will never need to source for a professional photographer again for weddings and parties.

If I have the time, money and energy I like to go back to my first love: landscape photography. Ken Duncan and Peter Lik have shown us how stunning Australian landscape can be in the right light.

Believe it or not after I've bought my DSLR 3 years ago I have not even brought it outdoor to shoot under available once. As I walk around the city I can't see anything worth shooting but I can shoot forever in my home studio. :bsmilie:

Your photographic eye for studio lighting can be used for outdoor purpose. Get yourself a compact when you find the DSLR too uncomfortable to bring around. Sion, can you show us street scene of your Australian artifacts or anything you fancy?

Here is one from the recent rainy days while visiting a wet market.

Stop thinking like studio photographers,
Think like mature wanabes if you love landscape.
Shift from studio-centered thinking to outdoor-centered
photographic activities to fulfill your mission. :bsmilie: :)

The "skills" that I look forward to "acquiring" is to "let go".

To "let go" in order to to "feel" unrestricted by preconceived boundaries.

To "let go" in order to "enjoy with thanks" what is before me.

To "let go" in order to "receive" what is before me.

A full glass cannot receive anymore.

Thus u empty what u have currently, leaving residues of the old water and making way for new water mixed with the old for a new mixture?

Hmm.... Photography, being an art, encompasses philosophy as well. U sure had been hooked.
