You're wrong, those outcrop now extends Malaysia territorial waters. Those 3 outcrop themselves are pretty useless but the territorial waters they encompasses is what both countries have in mind.

The South Ledge is still a subject for dispute since ICJ states it belongs to whichever country's territorial waters that outcrop lies. ICJ lay it out for both parties to determine.

I wish one or the other own sovereignity of the 3 islets instead 1 to S'pore, 1 to Malaysia and one for the 2 countries to discuss. Should have been an outright decision to settle once and for all.

Kind of very messy, IMHO. Talk of being fair or win-win situation.

Anyway both government should settle it out soon, not 30 years later.
