1. in what area is critique to be sought?
Exposure - in snowy landscape
How to improve composition and framing of landscape
2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
To capture the serenity and peacefulness of the landscape
tips on how to capture the 'temperature/coldness' of the place
3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Picture is taken outside Hotel Hekla in Iceland, slightly after dawn.
Awakened to a snowy landscape after a harrowing blizzard last night. The snow had finally stopped falling and all was peaceful and quiet outside. It was a carpet of white as the clouds started clearing up for the sun. In the distance, the crescent of the moon was still visible.
4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
It is one of the better pictures taken and appears to be a very desolate landscape but I do feel something is 'missing' from the picture, I just can't pinpoint how to improve it. Comments are very welcome, thanks!
Nikon D5100, Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 @ 50mm, ISO 800, F2.8 (was dark), 1/60, handheld
