Train would be much more expensive and longer distance than coach.... you sure you want to try? Then you must buy a sleeping cabin ticket.

Check into hotel: 6 Aug (12pm)
Leave Penang: 8 Aug (9-10pm)
Arrival in Singapore: 9 Aug (6-7am)

Places to visit?

For makan, the usual lah... Penang Road, Gurney Drive, New Lane, Tanjung Tokong.

For shopping... not many. Gurney Plaza, erm the rest too paiseh to recommend.

Taking pictures? Lotsa them. Batu Ferringhi beach, Teluk Bahang beach, Teluk Bahang Fishermen Village, Butterfly Farm, Spice Garden, Kek Lok Si, Gurney Drive, Penang Bridge, Penang Hill, etc.
