To throw a wrinkle into the fold, the 340 MB MD has been notorious for having reliability problems, more so than its 1GB cousin. This was because the 340 MB was a first generation MD. I do not know if the ones on sale are from this batch (which was a long time ago), but cheap prices may mean clearance sales.

The rebates probably aren't targeted to pple outside the US either, so it won't be that cheap.
