Hi dudes,

Can we use the i-pod as a backup during long trips?

is there such a thing as a CF to I-pod backup adapter?

I'm using a 30GB (latest version) I pod.

appreciate your advice.

forget about it.
the transfer is way too slow.
i brought my ipod along for trips, after my shower, it was still transferring.
in the end, the battery died out before the transfer was complete.

get those portable HD with card reader,
now average about $200 for a 40GB, comes with batteries and card slots of various card.

very fast transfer speed too.

It's iPod by the way :) My iPods have a knack for dead HDDs (2 so far, 2 replacements), so I wouldn't do it personally.

yup.somehow i think ipod doesnt last more than 1 year.
not to mention when you send back to them, they will give you a 'reconditioned' one instead of a new one.

really slow transfer. i have an old one, can lend you to try if you want (but not sure if it works on the latest ipods). pm me if you want to try.

trade you for a u-papa?!?!! :bsmilie:
