As I had a bad experience of giving someone a tip or two, decided to just keep quiet and whip out my own flash and bounce, and I guess they felt ashamed, decided to walk away!
So sad.
Sadly, I have to agree with question Brother Dennis had put forth ... is DSLR a fashion accessory now?
Some don't even know how to use the accessories fully! Last Friday, was next to Clark Quay taking photos, and this couple was posing using flash, but the flash was pointed skyward, with no bounce or anything, just a diffuser. hi everyone..
my apologies, i guess i typed the title/question wrongly..
I actually know how to use the DSLR, have been covering events.
But it was only know that i managed to get the dslr.
i was actually refering to the "maintenance-part".
like am i suppose to send it for servicing in a few mths/year?

oh dear, that was me and my gf shooting a spider in midair.
then someone took out a flash quickly , hitting the spider in the process.. and the spider dropped and died.. so we walked away. :embrass::embrass:

oh my! thats rather bad to kill the spider,
sometime ago i was shooting a big spider, out of sudden it started to move, i got scared. My guy was laughing at me.
oh well i still managed to take a picture of it.
Important to note is that it should not be put on the floor or on grass field as it might be infected with fungus which will cost a bomb to rectify.
Can you verify your statement?
It's the combination of heat and moisture that encourage fungus growth.
Fungus will still grow in dri-cab if the unit is not properly set or faulty.
