they drew red lines to stop all motorists from entering the all day bus lane, wheel clamp vehicles, put up NO U-TURN signs, block reserve lots for VIP cars, etc etc, but do nothing for this ?????

this is common sense. people are complaining that the government holds our hands too much.... now you're complaining it's not enough?

by the way, how many times a day do you see a person in a wheel chair roll past you?

this is common sense and civic-mindedness... unless you're asking them to block the road in front from cars (which if you're thinking that, you're an utter moron)

I can't comprehend...what you're ranting about.

The PSA you posted is an example of something that's being done.
Something that led you to decide that it's important enough to post a rant about :bsmilie:

Welcome to d2xpeter's world where the obvious becomes oblivious

I have seen people parking next to the "No Parking Sign" :bsmilie:

Either they don't comprehend the "No Parking Sign" or they just act blur :(

Bcos many, or some ppl dun understand the words "No", "Do Not" etc... Or their eyes auto block those word.
No parking, they parked.
No littering, they litter.
No speeding, they speed.
No Smoking, they smoke.
Do not enter, they enter.
Etc etc ..

Do not post still post somemore :)

Another thread from TS that borders on irrational. But, that's to be expected. :D

And oblivious becomes delirious? :bsmilie:

Is the the same person who was in the Olympics rant?

Then I totally agree...

Ever seen how the government solves parking disputes in private estates?
They just paint yellow lines everyone. Everyone loses. Keep it civil, keep it happy.

It is only a poster of a fictitious occurence, to educate people what NOT to do.
Nowadays people don't dare.
They will end up on STOMP, social media. Their faces plastered all over the news - if they park their car as shown in the poster.

In a less disciplined society, their car will be burnt/smashed/scratched when they return to it.
The Police should make it a point to such inconsiderate drivers that they will record the event - and then just close the book and note - misadventure. No follow up investigation will be made.

and just be the center of heckling for a week?

wow. u must hate being henpecked :bsmilie:

It is exactly this type of mentality that is worrying.

If there is really sense and common sense in people, there won't be so many hand holding in the first place.

The real problem is certain selfish people tends to be Oblivious to the Obvious when it is not their problem, but become Obnoxious when their tails are being step onto. LOLLL

warning given sorry

be civil

wah....yellow card out!

To be fair to drivers, sometimes the wheelchair path is built right next to the loading/unloading lot. There is no space to even open the door. It is a matter of lack of common sense when designing the lot/path.

And the definition of "No" parking, No as in ok with driver in vehicle, ok for short period with hazard lights on, ok with someone in the car who can move the car when nec, or not at all. Then how to let old folks, children, handicap alight from vehicle if it is a strict no?

Every photographer will know this is a fake photo.

Everything is too clean and sanitized. The real Singapore has an old world feel about it with sublime danger and intrigue.

The lady is too young and healthy to be in a wheelchair.

And the wheelchair is too new and prestine to be believable.

All in all what you shouldn't do in a campaign ad.

Sack the ad agency and use the refund to buy paint to draw yellow lines on the road. :bsmilie:

And the car parked there is a fake too?

Just for this ad?
