do i still need a lens cap on wheni dun need to use my camera? cos i find it irritating with the cap dangling while taking photos. wat do the ppl here usually do with their lens cap?

i always make it a habit to put in my pocket or bag. habit since i first used a film slr for work.

do you use a lens cap? even if you dun use the camera and place in your bag?

yes.. you should cap it cuz the filter can get scratched and damaged too

okie thanks guys... guess i will just need to get used to the cap dangling,

Oh my... Did you get the B+W filter cheap? If it is a 10 bucks Hoya uv filter, I may consider allow it to be scratched. But B+W...

why not just remove the string or something? and cap only at the end of the day or what. i only put on the lens cap at the end of the shoot or when the camera needs to be put in my bag.
