kex, this is no joke.

I am no expert here, but looking at the image, I would strongly suggest you to bring him to see a doctor (doctor thats specialist in animals).

Just in case the infection spread to other part of the body.

i dun think pet clinic is open 2moro lei...

haiz.. i going oversea on sunday for 2 wks.

poor doggie.

i dun think its infectious bah:embrass: , could b skin irratation or alergic reaction of some kind. hope ur doggie get well soon. dun worry 2 much ya? ;)

Which part of the leg?

Is it the part where he always uses to prop himself up?

Hmmm looks like a pretty bad sign of "rotting" . better take him to the vet soon.

Depends on where it is. Hair loss and thickening/ crusting of the skin will occur on places where the body is frequently in contact with rough and hard surfaces. This might be on the elbow and even on the knuckles and over the hip. It's called a pressure sore or kennel sore. Technically, such things are perhaps called calluses. I doubt if it's infectious. Please feel free to provide any other pictures or details, or ask more questions. :) Try to give you a free consult.

Where is it located? has he been scratching it repetedly? Looks like a bad case of dry eczema to me but like what they said vets opinon is best...
